Strategic Life Tools, LLC (“us”, “we”, or “our”) operates the Day Optimizer website, social media accounts and other applications and web sites (including web and mobile applications) provided under the Day Optimizer brand (together, the “Services”).
This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personal data when you use our Services and the choices you have associated with that data.
We use your data to provide and improve the Services. By using the Services, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. Unless otherwise defined in this Privacy Policy, terms used in this Privacy Policy have the same meanings as in our Terms and Conditions
Definitions

Services are the Day Optimizer website at https://dayoptimizer.com/, social media accounts and other applications and web sites (including web and mobile applications) operated by Strategic Life Tools, LLC. - Personal Data
Personal Data means data about a living individual who can be identified from those data (or from those and other information either in our possession or likely to come into our possession). - Usage Data
Usage Data is data collected automatically either generated by the use of the Services or from the Services infrastructure itself (for example, the duration of a page visit). - Cookies

Data Controller means the natural or legal person who (either alone or jointly or in common with other persons) determines the purposes for which and the manner in which any personal information are, or are to be, processed. Contact Data
We may collect information such as your name and email address in order to contact you.
For example, when you fill out a form on our web site and check a box indicating you want to receive a certain type of communication (such as an email newsletter) we will use your contact data to send you communications of this type. Or if you fill out a support request form, we will use your contact information to send you a response.
You may opt out of receiving any, or all, consent-based communications from us by following the unsubscribe link or instructions provided in any email we send. You cannot opt-out of communications required to perform a contract with you, for payment processing purposes, to comply with the law or where it is in our legitimate interests to contact you and it is not overridden by your rights.
Account Data
We may collect additional information about you when you register for an account, create or modify a profile or sign-up for or make purchases through the Services.
For example, you may provide additional information such as your company name, profile photo, bio or other details to be used by or displayed in our Services. Unless required for the operation of the Services, you do not have to provide this information.
Content You Provide
We collect and store content that you post, send, receive, share or otherwise provide to us (“Content” as defined in our Terms of Service). This content includes any information about you that you may choose to include as well as any files or links you upload to the Services.
Examples of content we may collect and store include: task lists, calendar appointments, descriptions and notes about tasks and appointments, scheduling information, planning documents and spreadsheets or comments you provide.
Third-Party Data
We may collect and store contact data, account data and/or content from a third-party (“Content” as defined in our Terms of Service) when you authorize us to do so (collectively “Third-Party Data”). This Third-Party Data is retrieved via an API or other means from the third-party and may be stored on our servers.
Examples of data we may collect and store include: task lists, calendar appointments, descriptions and notes about tasks and appointments, scheduling information, planning documents, application settings and other Personal Data such as your name, email and profile photo.
The specific third-party service providers we use for federated identity access are described in the Service Providers > Federated Identity Access section of this Privacy Policy and those for data integrations are described in the Service Providers > Data Integrations section of this Privacy Policy.
Access to third-party data starts when you authorize the third-party through the Services and stops when you revoke that authorization. Depending on the integration, you can revoke authorization within the web or mobile application, within your account settings with the third-party provider, or by contacting support.
After revoking data integration access, we may attempt to delete any previously synced data; however some data may be retained that is required for the operation of the Services. For example, previously synced calendar appointments that have been added to a daily schedule are retained so the historical view of that schedule remains accurate, and previously synced todos may be retained for you to continue to track them.
After revoking federated identity access, you will not be able to sign in via that third-party provider; however, we DO NOT automatically delete your account. Please contact support if you want to delete your account, or to convert your account to use a different sign in method.
Usage Data
We may also collect information how the Services is accessed and used (“Usage Data”). This Usage Data may include information such as your computer’s Internet Protocol address (e.g. IP address), browser type, browser version, the pages of our Services that you visit, the time and date of your visit, the time spent on those pages, unique device identifiers and other diagnostic data.
In addition, when using one of our web or mobile applications, we may anonymously track your usage patterns within the app such as clicks, mouse movements, and navigation details, and errors that occur during usage (“session recording”). We use this to improve the functionality of the app. We do not share this information or use it for marketing purposes. We do not associate this with your personal information, nor do we store your IP address after your session ends.
Tracking & Cookies Data
We use cookies and similar tracking technologies to track the activity on our Services and hold certain information.
Cookies are files with small amount of data which may include an anonymous unique identifier. Cookies are sent to your browser from a website and stored on your device. Tracking technologies also used are beacons, tags, and scripts to collect and track information and to improve and analyze our Services.
You can instruct your browser to refuse all cookies or to indicate when a cookie is being sent. However, if you do not accept cookies, you may not be able to use some portions of our Services.

Use of Data
Strategic Life Tools, LLC uses the collected data for various purposes:

- To notify you about changes to our Services
- To allow you to participate in interactive features of our Services when you choose to do so

Legal Basis for Processing Personal Data Under General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)
If you are from the European Economic Area (EEA), Strategic Life Tools, LLC legal basis for collecting and using the personal information described in this Privacy Policy depends on the Personal Data we collect and the specific context in which we collect it.
Strategic Life Tools, LLC may process your Personal Data because:
- We need to perform a contract with you
- You have given us permission to do so
- The processing is in our legitimate interests and it’s not overridden by your rights

Retention of Data
Strategic Life Tools, LLC will retain your Personal Data only for as long as is necessary for the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy. Strategic Life Tools, LLC will take all steps reasonably necessary to ensure that your data is treated securely and in accordance with this Privacy Policy and no transfer of your Personal Data will take place to an organization or a country unless there are adequate controls in place including the security of your data and other personal information.
Disclosure of Data
Business Transaction
If Strategic Life Tools, LLC is involved in a merger, acquisition or asset sale, your Personal Data may be transferred. We will provide notice before your Personal Data is transferred and becomes subject to a different Privacy Policy. After you are notified, you will have the option to delete or modify your data before the new Privacy Policy takes effect.
Disclosure for Law Enforcement

Do Not Track is a preference you can set in your web browser to inform websites that you do not want to be tracked. You can enable or disable Do Not Track by visiting the Preferences or Settings page of your web browser.
We make our best effort to support Do Not Track (“DNT”) using technology to respect your preferences, but we cannot guarantee our technology will work perfectly and your Do Not Track preference will be respected in all circumstances. - The right to withdraw consent. You also have the right to withdraw your consent at any time where Strategic Life Tools, LLC relied on your consent to process your personal information.

Service Providers
We may employ third party companies and individuals to facilitate our Services (“Service Providers”), to provide the Services on our behalf, to perform Services-related services or to assist us in analyzing how our Services is used.
These third parties have access to your Personal Data only to perform these tasks on our behalf and are obligated not to disclose or use it for any other purpose.
Federated Identity Access
We may provide the option to sign up for and sign in to our Services via federated identity service providers such as Google or Facebook (aka “social logins”). When you sign in via one of these service providers, you will be asked for your permission to share certain information with us. We are only given the information you give permission to share. You authorize us to collect this information, including your authentication information, such as your username and encrypted access tokens, and other personal data available through the service provider such as your name, profile picture, language and email address.
We only store the information necessary to provide you the Services, even if the federated identity service provides us additional information about your account. At this time, we do not access your friends list, even if it is available to us. If we add functionality that requires this access, we will update this Privacy Policy and inform you via the methods described in the Changes to This Privacy Policy section near the end of this policy.
If a federated identity service provider is also a data integration provider, as described in the Data Integrations section, we may ask for permission to access additional data when you sign up for or sign into our services to minimize the number of times you need to approve access. For instance, when you sign up to the Services using Google, we may also ask for permission to sync your Google Calendar and Google Tasks data to make it easier to start using our Services. If we do this, you will have the option to not share this additional data and only use the federated identity functionality to sign into our Services.

You can sign up and sign in to our Services using your Google account. Information about your Google account is collected by Google and provided to us under the terms of the Google Privacy Policy. You can manage your data privacy settings and revoke your ability to sign into the Services via Google on the Data & Privacy settings page of your Google account. - Twitter
You can sign up and sign in to our Services using your Twitter account. Information about your Twitter account is collected by Twitter and provided to us under the terms of the Twitter Privacy Policy. You can manage your data privacy settings and revoke your ability to sign into the Services via Twitter in your Twitter account settings under the Security & Account Access and Privacy & Safety sections. - Facebook
You can sign up and sign in to our Services using your Facebook account. Information about your Facebook account is collected by Meta and provided to us under the terms of the Meta Privacy Policy. You can manage your data privacy settings and revoke your ability to sign into the Services via Facebook in the Meta Privacy Center and/or in the Apps & Websites and Privacy Settings and Tools section of your Facebook account. - Apple
You can sign up and sign in to our Services using your Apple account. Information about your Apple account is collected by Apple and provided to us under the terms of the Apple Privacy Policy. You can manage your data privacy settings and revoke your ability to sign into the Services via Apple in the Sign In with Apple section of your Apple ID account settings.
Note that revoking access directly with a federated identity provider will not delete your account with our Services. To delete your account, or to change the method by which you sign into your account, please contact support.
Data Integrations
We may collect and store data from third-party Service Providers when you authorize us to do so to enhance the functionality of the Services.
- Google Calendar
Google Calendar is a web service offered by Google that allows you to manage and track appointments and events. When you authorize us to access your Google Calendar, we may access your list of calendars, read events from your calendars, add events to your calendars, read the settings of your calendars, create a new calendar to export your daily schedule to, and otherwise sync the calendar data with the Services. The data retrieved from Google Calendar is only used to provide you the Services, and is not shared with other third parties. Cronofy
Cronofy is a data integration service offered by Cronofy Limited that allows you to authorize the Services to access calendar services provided by third parties, such as Apple, Microsoft and Google. The data retrieved from these services includes calendars, appointments and settings. When you authorize us to access your calendar data through Cronofy, we may access your list of calendars, read events from your calendars, add events to your calendars, read the settings of your calendars, create a new calendar to export your daily schedule to, and otherwise sync the calendar data with the Services. Customer Success
We may use third-party Service Providers to enhance the functionality of the Services, including providing e-mail communication, product training and documentation services.
- Userflow
Userflow is a product tour and onboarding checklist service provided by Userflow, Inc. We use Userflow to provide onboarding and training workflows within the Services. This content is shown based on information we have about you as a user and actions you take within the Services. To enable this functionality, we share information with Userflow, so it can determine what content to show you. We limit this information to only what is necessary to provide this onboarding and training functionality. Strategic Life Tools, LLC retains full control of your data within Userflow. Userflow acts solely as a data processor. - Manula
Manual is an online documentation service provided by Proton 27 BV. We use Manula to publish the user manual and documentation for the Services. We do not share any Personal Data with Manula, though Manula may set cookies to enhance its functionality and to provide usage analytics to Strategic Life Tools, LLC. This usage data is aggregated and remains anonymous. - Active Campaign
ActiveCampaign is an email management service provided by ActiveCampaign, LLC. We use ActiveCampaign to send newsletters, announcements, training, reminders and other emails to you. Some emails may be sent based on information we have about you as a user and actions you take within the Services. To enable this functionality, we share information with ActiveCampaign, so it can determine what emails to send to you. Strategic Life Tools, LLC retains full control of your data within ActiveCampaign. ActiveCampaign acts solely as a data processor.
Analytics
We may use third-party Service Providers to monitor and analyze the use of our Services.
- Google Analytics
Google Analytics is an analytics service offered by Google that tracks and reports website and app usage. Google uses the data collected to track and monitor the use of our Services. This data is shared with other Google services. Google may use the collected data to contextualize and personalize the ads of its own advertising network. You can opt-out of having made your activity on the Services available to Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. - Full Story
Full Story is a web analytics service that can record part or all of a user’s session provided by FullStory, Inc. We use the data collected by Full Story to improve our products and customer service. We do not use it for marketing purposes, nor do we share it with others. Strategic Life Tools, LLC retains full control of your data within Full Story. Full Story acts solely as a data processor. - Hot Jar
Hot Jar is a web analytics service that can record how you interact with a web site and display surveys and other popups to gather feedback from users provided by Hotjar Limited. We use the data collected by Hot Jar to improve our products, marketing and customer service. We do not share it with others. Strategic Life Tools, LLC retains full control of your data within Hot Jar. Hot Jar acts solely as a data processor.
Advertising
We use tracking pixels, cookies and JavaScript to allow our advertising service providers to identify your visits to our Services and optimize the delivery of ads based on those visits. We use aggregate information about your visits for statistical and market research purposes, e.g., to improve the effectiveness of our ad campaigns. This usage falls roughly into two types:
- Conversion Tracking
To optimize the effectiveness of our ads by targeting our ads and improving ad delivery. For instance, to identify when someone clicking on one of our ads is most likely to register for our Services, so our ads can be shown only to people who are likely to need our Services. - Behavior Remarketing
To advertise on third-party websites to you after you visit our Services. For instance, to show you an ad after you expressed interest in our Services by visiting our web site.
The data collected by our service providers for these purposes remains anonymous to us—we do not see the personal data of individual users, nor do we pass any of your personal data to these service providers. However, the tracking data collected by these tracking pixels, cookies and scripts is stored by our service providers, and may be used by them according to their privacy policies, as listed below.

LinkedIn advertising services are provided by the LinkedIn Corporation (hereinafter “LinkedIn”). Note: the presence of a service provider above does not indicate that we are actively using that provider for advertising, only that we reserve the right to do so. Advertising partners with whom we do not use conversion tracking or behavior remarketing are not listed above, as they cannot collect any data about you.
Security
We may use third-party Service Providers to prevent unauthorized access to the Services, such as from bots or hackers. Our third-party vendors may collect information about your visit and access patterns to provide such services.
- Google reCaptcha
Google reCaptcha is a service provided by Google Inc. to keep keep malicious software from engaging in abusive activities on websites. reCAPTCHA API works by collecting hardware and software information, such as device and application data, and sending this data to Google for analysis. The information collected in connection with your use of the Services is used for improving reCAPTCHA and for general security purposes. It is not used for personalized advertising by Google. Payments
We may provide paid products and/or services within the Services. In that case, we use third-party services for payment processing (e.g. payment processors).
All payment card details we collect are provided directly to our third-party payment processors whose use of your personal information is governed by their Privacy Policy. These payment processors adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover. PCI-DSS requirements help ensure the secure handling of payment information.
We do not store sensitive payment card details. However, we do store non-sensitive payment card details (such as type of credit card and expiration date) provided to us by our third-party payment processors. We use this information to help you identify the payment card you are using to pay for our Services within your account page, and to send you reminder notifications when your payment card is expiring.

Other Services
We use third-party service providers to provide email management, website hosting, application development, maintenance, backup, storage and other services for us, which may allow them to access or use information about you.
We attempt to keep your information secure at all times. If a service provider needs to access information about you to perform services on our behalf, they will only do so under instruction from us and abide by our policies and procedures designed to protect your information.

To track release adoption, monitor performance issues and log errors occurring in the Services & receive user feedback about those errors.

Our Services may contain links to other sites that are not operated by us. If you click on a third party link, you will be directed to that third party’s site. We strongly advise you to review the Privacy Policy of every site you visit.
We have no control over and assume no responsibility for the content, privacy policies or practices of any third party sites or services.
Children’s Privacy
Our Services does not address anyone under the age of 18 (“Children”).
We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from anyone under the age of 18. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided us with Personal Data, please contact us. If we become aware that we have collected Personal Data from children without verification of parental consent, we take steps to remove that information from our servers.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page.
If we make any material changes to this Privacy Policy, we will notify you either through the email address you have provided us and/or by placing a prominent notice on our website.
